Forbes Baltics

PRESS RELEASE

The leading startup and tech conference in Baltics, “TechChill”, has published the stage agenda of the conference. This year the stage program will focus on the changes in our lives during the upcoming five years due to developments in GreenTech, 5G and Blockchain with speakers from “Google”, “Bolt”, “Nokia”, “Wolt”, “Rotten Tomatoes”, “Ericsson” and 70 more world-known brands.

“TechChill 2020” will be held already in two weeks on February 20-21 in Riga, Latvia and will welcome over 2000 attendees including 300 startups, 200 investors and 100 media representatives from all over the world. The two-day conference that this year takes place for the ninth time will offer speeches and discussions on the latest trends in technology and will be split between two stages – “Go Big” stage and “Founder” stage.

Speakers on “Go Big” stage will discuss such GreenTech and sustainability topics as Action Driven Approach to Climate Change by Lubomila Jordanova from “Plan A” and Next Generation Capital - Combining Profits and Purpose by Agate Freimane from “Norrsken VC”. Another part of the “Go Big” stage is the 5G agenda block that is powered by LMT and will include topics on business opportunities for startups and real-world early 5G applications by “Nokia”. One of the main Blockchain topics will be on exploring business models and adoption challenges by “IMB Blockchain Accelerator” Partner Jules Miller, as well as “European Leadership in Blockchain: Innovation, Infrastructure and Regulation” by Peteris Zilgalvis from European Commission.

“We are looking forward to welcoming speakers from all over the world to Riga for “TechChill 2020” to inspire and educate on globally relevant topics. We have speakers flying in from the USA, speakers from Canada, Tanzania and the whole of Europe. It adds a truly global perspective to the discussion and broadens the perspective, which is our main goal for those attendees who are not there for meeting startups or investors and closing deals,” comments “TechChill 2020” COO Madara Ermansone.

Sales and Marketing, as well as Founder stories, are traditionally the main focus of the Founder stage due to the increasing demand for these topics from the Baltics audience. Among the founders that will share their experience, challenges and lessons learned are the creators of such European success stories as “Bolt”, “Wolt”, and “Mintos”. Mental health for founders will be one of the main topics on the Founder stage as Stewart Rogers from “Grit Daily” will share the results of his research in his keynote “Why Mental Health is Tech's Biggest Problem and How to Solve It”, while the burnouts issue will be addressed by “Contriber Ventures”. “Google”, “Growth Tribe”, and “Printful” are among those who will share practical examples, tips, and strategies in various marketing areas, including brand, content marketing, digital marketing, reputation management, sales, and growth strategies.

“TechChill” will continue its tradition of showcasing 50 most promising startups from the Baltics, Scandinavia, and Central Europe by giving them a chance to step on the stage and pitch their ideas in front of conference's audience, international VC's, business angels, accelerators, media, and the official jury. The 50 semifinalists are already selected and divided into five verticals - FinTech, GreenTech, MedTech, B2B, and B2C. In addition, a significant part of the conference is the side-event program of 20 various events that included open to all events such as Masterclasses and “Career Move”, as well as exclusive events to “TechChill” pass holders, for example, “Google” workshop.
