Technology conference “TechChill 2020” announces full side event program

Forbes Baltics

PRESS RELEASE

The startup and technology conference “TechChill”  has announced a full side event program comprised of eighteen different networking and educational activities, hackathons, and seminars before and during the conference.

“TechChill” is one of the most anticipated events of the year in the Baltic start-up and technology sector; this year it will take place on 20 and 21 February 2020 at Hanzas Perons in Riga. An essential part of the conference is the side events that will take place mainly on 19 February and are available to the wider audience as well as to the attendees of “TechChill 2020”.

For the first time, “TechChill” conference will include a “Career” Move event, during which startups will present themselves to potential employees. Experts of all levels will be given the opportunity to get acquainted with Latvian startups and to find out about the available job opportunities. The event will take place on 19 February and will be open to any interested party.

“The main objective of our organisation has always been to promote Latvian startups and advance their success in a wide variety of ways. “Career Move” will be a great opportunity for our startups to inform the wider audience about the different jobs available. At the same time, it will allow job seekers to extend their understanding of the job market opportunities. Startups are often prepared to offer positions that are not available elsewhere or do not exist at all. Moreover, work in startups often means rapid growth. We want to use this event as a platform to inform job seekers and help startups to recruit additional team members,” explains Madara Ermansone, COO of “TechChill”.

The “TechChill 2020” Side Event program also includes sales and marketing masterclasses, available to any interested party, led by international experts and supported by Latvian success story “Printful”, a media tour, during which international media members will visit Latvian startups, hackathons organised by LMT and RTU Design Factory, “Riga Venture Summit” organised by Latvian Startup Association, as well networking event “FinTech Talks” organised by financial technology company “Twino”.

The full “TechChill” 2020 Side event program is available here.

The core of the startup and technology conference program at Hanzas Perons on 20 and 21 February will be comprised of five main themes: blockchain solutions, greentech and 5G technologies, sales and marketing issues, and founder stories. Among the speakers already announced are executives of world-renowned companies such as film-review website “Rotten Tomatoes”, food delivery platform “Wolt”, “IBM Blockchain Accelerator”, e-sports company “Cloud9”, and dozens of others.

“TechChill” is a startup community non-profit that hosts the largest tech event in Latvia on February 20-21 in Riga. A two-day agenda across two stages will include 100 speakers, including experienced founders, innovators, startup community leaders, tech media, investors and top experts in their field, with several opportunities of formal and informal networking. The most promising startups from the Baltic Sea region - from the Baltics, Nordics and Central Eastern Europe - will meet and match with global investors and business angels.
